Making that exciting decision – "which new home design is the right one for me?"

My role as a Sales Executive at Dennis Family Homes here in Wagga is always busy and always fun!

On a regular day, I could be meeting clients to discuss plans for a new home, checking in with our contractors across the region for construction updates, or placing orders with the many local companies who are Dennis Family Homes’ suppliers. 

With a 20 year history building homes for Wagga families, Dennis Family is committed to supporting local businesses wherever possible and we engage over 300 contractors across the region to build our designs.

With so much variety on the job, I can honestly say I enjoy EVERY part, however the best aspect (by far) is working with local residents to help them select a home design that will deliver!

Deciding to build a new home is very exciting and while there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to choosing a design, there are some important points to consider before you make that final decision.

What are the dimensions of your block and its configuration?

Dennis Family Homes has a comprehensive portfolio of home designs that suit a wide range of blocks.  We can discuss the various factors to consider, like the block’s width and depth, the location of the driveway and the solar aspect.  

Think about how long you will stay in the home

Ask yourself: is this house a stepping stone to something bigger or is this my forever home?

Think about the type of home will best suit your future family’s needs.  When I meet with a new client, we always will talk through current lifestyle needs and future plans to put together a comprehensive check list. Get an idea of costs

It’s all about being prepared, and avoiding scary cost blow-outs, so once you have found a design you love, we can sit down together and go through a summary of the estimated costs.
